Now I am at my new work place, typing this log.
Since I do not want to make any changes to this computer that I am using, I am typing in English.
I felt like writing, but I haven't done it...
Here I am, writing something.
I am at a clinic, waiting for my patient to come.
While I am waiting, I have been thinking of what humans want and need.
This could be more of what I want, but I believe my wants and needs are pretty much universal.
I want to be validated.
My emotions, thoughts, reactions, actions...all want to be validated. They are real and there is no such thing as good or bad about these legitimate components in human nature.
I realized that validation is very powerful.
Most of the times, all my patients are dismissed or overreacted by their peers and never be validated on their emotions, thoughts and behaviors.
By reflecting and validating everything my patients say, something starts to change.
This is the change I feel in myself, too.
It does not matter if it is irrational or rational. They do not need to be judged.
If I feel sad or angry about something happened in my life, they are my emotions. They can very likely be different from others' reactions.
Everyone reacts in a different way.
Thus, my reactions, emotions are true and important.
They are precious.
To consider them precious means that these emotions are respected and validated.
Then the change comes.
The change of perspectives, attitudes, thoughts, ideas...
Lovely changes occur.
These changes are not forced changes. They happen naturally. That is why they are very powerful and profound.
I want to help making these changes in people and myself.
My journey has just started.
